Before you light

Place your candle on a flat, heat-safe surface away from draughts, curtains and anything flammable.

While it burns

• Trim the wick to about 5 mm before every light.
• Let the top layer melt evenly the first time so the candle doesn’t tunnel.
• Burn for no longer than three hours at a time.
• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Stop burning when about 1 cm of wax remains.

Not edible

However delicious they look, Maqtub candles are wax. Keep away from children and pets.
